George Uzunov has started his career in Sitel as a Site Director in 2008, with the responsibilities for the activities of Sitel Sofia with a team of 150 people. Shortly afterwards, he expanded Sitel’s operations in Serbia and few years later in 2012 he stepped in the position of Regional Director for Eastern Europe and Germany at that time. After reengineering Sitel EMEA operations, he took over expansion role for Sitel Eastern Europe with launching two additional centers in Belgrade, Serbia (2011) and in Varna, Bulgaria (2015). After this success, he took the management of Sitel Warsaw. For a period of 10 years, he also managed to create several additional centers based in Bulgaria, but serving the operations of the company globally. This is the so-called shared service center (SSC) – department concentrated in finance, accounting, business analysis, reporting, marketing and social media. Today, George Uzunov successfully manages more than 3800 people in Eastern Europe. During this not too long period, he managed to introduce and integrate good practices and to “automate” them to the specifics of each country and to the Eastern European market. George’s leadership positioned Sitel as innovative leader in BPO industry, with high level of focus over talent development and social responsibility in Eastern Europe.
